Justin Edgell is a dedicated father, educator, and community leader with a lifelong commitment to public service, youth development, and building stronger neighborhoods.

A graduate of Bowling Green State University, Justin holds a Bachelor of Science in Education with a focus on middle childhood math, science, and reading. Over the past 15 years, he has built a career defined by strong leadership, thoughtful decision-making, and a passion for helping young people thrive both in and out of the classroom.

Justin’s professional background includes serving as Athletic Director at St. Francis de Sales School in Toledo, where he managed budgets, supervised staff, organized events, and prioritized student safety and sportsmanship. He also held regional and statewide leadership roles with After-School All-Stars Ohio, developing career-readiness programs and overseeing after-school services that impacted hundreds of students across multiple cities. In his current role in athletic sales, he continues to work with schools to help them access the equipment and resources needed to support student-athletes and school spirit.

A lifelong athlete and coach, Justin’s passion for sports has played a central role in shaping his leadership values. He grew up playing youth sports in Springfield Township and was a three-sport athlete in wrestling, football, and baseball at St. Francis de Sales. At BGSU, he continued wrestling at the club level and later became the head wrestling coach at Gibsonburg High School. Over the years, he’s coached young athletes from ages 3 to 18 across multiple sports. Through athletics, he’s learned the power of preparation, teamwork, and perseverance—values he carries into public life.

Justin and his wife Amber have proudly called Perrysburg home for nearly a decade. They were married at St. Rose Catholic Church in 2013 and are now raising two children, including a son who attends Perrysburg Schools. The Edgells enjoy everything the community offers—visiting local parks, biking to the library and 577 Foundation, exploring the farmers market, participating in summer rec programs, and dining at Perrysburg’s many great local restaurants.

Justin is also an active community volunteer, serving as a commissioner and coach for the Perrysburg Amateur Baseball Softball Commission, a volunteer coach with Perrysburg Biddy Wrestling, and a golf partner for Wood County Special Olympics. He believes leadership starts with service—and he’s consistently shown up to support youth and families wherever he’s lived.

Now, Justin is running for Perrysburg City Council to put his experience, values, and energy to work for the city he loves. His campaign is focused on improving quality of life for all residents—by supporting strong public schools, ensuring police and fire departments are fully staffed and equipped, expanding multi-use paths and parks, promoting responsible residential and commercial growth, and preserving the character and community spirit that make Perrysburg so special.
